After a busy day and a combat with city traffic, Sam was looking forward to see his favorite players at IPL. He peeked at his brother's bedroom, where his niece and her friend (both 6 year old) were watching “Chhota Bheem”.
“No way, I cannot fiddle with these little fellows for watching IPL, let me check the oldies.”
In the drawing room, his granny’s eye glued to TV, for a Saas-Bahu serial.
“Oh my dear Granny, can I watch cricket?”
What he was expecting the handing over of remote, considering his persuasive tone or a plain No, which was not likely.
“Just imagine you are still in office and not back home.” – Granny said in her usual calm and composed voice.
“Great! What a way to say No! Yorker! Wicket down! Out (of home to find a TV)!”
He was stumped and out literally too.
PS – True story of my friend’s brother and may be for many.
